Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos hosted the Los Angeles Chargers in a division showdown. The Broncos have been terrible and injuries have been plentiful, so I fully expected the Broncos to roll over and give up. I was wrong. The Broncos looked like they were dead on arrival when the Chargers jumped out to a 21-point lead in the third quarter.

Drew Lock, however, led the Broncos to a comeback win. Lock continues to have ridiculously lame dance moves:

But Lock also threw the game winning touchdown as the last seconds ticked off the clock.

I still don’t think Lock is playing well and he has a lot to prove before he is billed a top quarterback in the NFL, but he never gave up. That is something, I guess? Denver pulled out the win 31-30 and pulled into third place in the AFC West.

The Broncos continue to struggle with injuries as the season progresses. Jake Butt was placed on injured reserve. The tight end just can’t stay healthy. The Broncos also released their injury list which included Shelby Harris on the COVID list. GM John Elway also tested positive for COVID so best wishes to them.

Next week, the Broncos travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. The Falcons are such a strange team. They have lost more improbable games this year than a person can count. They are the NFC’s Chargers. And now, we know the Broncos have the ability to produce a comeback win. I actually think the Broncos could pull this off.

Game time is Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
