KC Chiefs 2024 home and away opponents revealed
By Matt Conner
We now know the official list of opponents for the Chiefs next season—both home and away.
The Kansas City Chiefs are focused on the upcoming postseason run following the completion of the 2023 regular season—as they should be. However with the conclusion of Week 18, the Chiefs now also know the slate of opponents they're going to face next year, both home and away.
The good news for the Chiefs is that they'll have another six games, as always, against their AFC West rivals. Even after eight consecutive division titles, the Chiefs still look like the best team in the division by a country mile. Two of the teams in the division need a new starting quarterback, while another two need new permanent head coaches. One of those teams that need both is the Chargers.
Outside of the AFC West, the Chiefs will also run through two other divisions top to bottom in 2024 as the NFL rotates the schedule once more. Next season, that will mean facing all four members of the AFC North and the NFC South. The disparity between both divisions is appalling, but as difficult as the AFC North wll be, the NFC South should feel like four more AFC West games.
The Chiefs will have their fair share of tough home games and road games in 2024, as usual, but there seems a very clear path to double-digit wins without much effort. Then again, we've got a long offseason ahead and the picture will certainly change between now and the official schedule reveal in May.
