The AFC is down to its final two teams: the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans. Who will win to advance to the Super Bowl?

Today is the day, perhaps the most important single day in a generation or more for both franchises, the Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs. In just a matter of hours, both teams will know who is heading to the Super Bowl to represent the AFC after a surprising NFL playoffs thus far.

The Chiefs are playing the role of favored host. If they can get past the Titans, they will look to fulfill the sort of long-term expectations that have eluded both head coach Andy Reid and this franchise that hasn’t even been in the big game in 50 years. The offense is as good as any in the league. The defense has turned a significant corner in the second half of the year. Right now the Chiefs look as dangerous as any team in the NFL.

On the flip side, the Titans have been proving everyone wrong week after week since they slipped into the postseason. They took out the defending champions with an upset of the New England Patriots at Foxborough. The following week, they marched to Baltimore and upset the conference’s top seed. They aren’t to be taken lightly. Even more, they’ve already beaten the Chiefs once this year in Week 10—the last time K.C. lost a game.
