Every time he hears “Welcome to Atlanta, where the players play,” Javier Arenas goes home and throws a dart at Scott Pioli’s forehead.
May 1 will mark the two-year anniversary of one of the most lopsided trades in Chiefs history.
After one year with the Arizona Cardinals, Arenas hit the free-agency market and, in a shocking turn of events, was signed by Pioli, who’s hell-bent on assembling an All-Star squad of personal draft busts.
Last season, the corner played 54 snaps and failed to field a single kick or punt.
Anthony Sherman, on the other hand, has doubled as Pro Football Focus’ top-ranked fullback in each of the last two seasons.
