Chiefs schedule: Tom Brady, Buccaneers will host Kansas City in Week 4
By Matt Conner
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4 on Sunday NIght Football.
With another day of the week comes another official leak of the 2022 NFL regular-season schedule. On Thursday, NFL reporter Adam Schefter noted that the Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, which will be televised on Sunday Night Football.
The matchup will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated games of the season, and it will give the Chiefs a chance for a bit of revenge after losing to the Bucs in their last Super Bowl appearance following the 2020 season.
It’s no surprise to see this game chosen as a primetime showing, and it’s a big win for NBC and the Sunday Night Football crew. Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady are both marquee names—the two most popular players in the entire sport in terms of player merch sales.
The Chiefs now know three of their first four games to start the season with the Houston Texans lined up in Week 1 on the road before hosting the Los Angeles Chargers on a short week in Week 2 on Thursday Night Football. This also means the Chiefs will be in primetime for half of their first four games.
The Chiefs and the rest of the AFC West will play through the NFC West division, so the good news is that the Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Denver Broncos will also have to contend with Tom Brady and company—at least making things a bit more even as they fight for what should be the most competitive division title in the league.
