Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders had the pleasure of taking on (sarcasm) America’s Team on Thanksgiving in the Dallas Cowboys. While we were all digesting turkey, the Raiders were pulling out a last minute victory over the Cowboys. In overtime, the Raiders saw Daniel Carlson put one through the uprights to win a shootout after a fourth pass interference call against Anthony Brown.

What was most disappointing about this game is the ridiculous number of penalties. I mean, come on. The Cowboys were without their top two receivers in the game and it made a difference—plus Ezekiel Elliott was a bit banged up. Still, the Raiders have had a tumultuous season (to say the least) and were without Henry Ruggs III. You’re given the hand you’re dealt and in this one, the Raiders pulled it off. Annoying.

I really dislike the Raiders.

Regardless, they now sit at 6-5 on the season, still a game back from the Chiefs and without the tie breaker. They will need things to fall their way if they hope to see a playoff spot, but the AFC is wide open.

Luckily the Raiders have a mini-bye because they faced some injuries coming out of the game: Darren Waller was ruled out after leaving the game twice, first with a back injury and then a knee issue. Carl Nassib also injured a knee and didn’t return, while Brandon Facyson was ruled out with a concussion.

They will need all their weapons as the prepare to face a suddenly hot Washington Football Team on Sunday. Washington is hoping to continue to creep up on Dallas so we’ll see what transpires in Vegas.
