Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos received news that their game against the New England Patriots was postponed after the COVID positive tests that came out of New England including reigning defensive player of the year, Stephon Gilmore. Because of this, the intriguing matchup of backup quarterbacks was moved to Sunday. In addition, the Broncos released their updated schedule due to a plethora of moves made by the NFL to accommodate COVID:

Given the length of time that has now passed since New England quarterback Cam Newton tested positive, it is possible that the Broncos will face a rested and healthy Newton.

With the injuries that have plagued the Broncos, including starting quarterback Drew Lock, wide receiver Courtland Sutton, and tight end Noah Fant (who I anticipate will play given the unexpected bye week), it is hard to imagine that the Broncos will put up much of a fight. I full expect the Broncos to walk (limp) into another loss. The one positive is that we are one week closer to a healthy Drew Lock. At least the Broncos have that to look forward to?

Game time is Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
