Kansas City Chiefs

For most of the NFL’s free agent frenzy, the Chiefs essentially did nothing. It was a bit tough as a Chiefs fan to watch every other team snag the big names being talked about, but such is life when you’ve won the Super Bowl.

Aside from franchise tagging Chris Jones, keeping Damien Williams and Damien Wilson, restructuring Frank Clark’s deal, and signing Chad Henne, the Chiefs were largely silent until the very end of the first week of free agency. The Chiefs did, however, sign a couple players to deals that will help the depth considerably. First they signed cornerback Antonio Hamilton from the Giants and then offensive lineman Mike Remmers, also from the Giants.

What does this mean for Sammy Watkins, Chris Jones, and Patrick Mahomes? Who knows. Maybe everyone is in quarantine without access to telephones and internet so they are just missing out on everything. Regardless, it says something about the Chiefs feeling like they already have a solid roster and don’t need to throw around unnecessary money.

Hang in there Chiefs fans. We can make it through this pandemic. Just keep refreshing Twitter and remember, if the world ends, we will be the reigning Super Bowl champs forever.
