Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are heading into Week 2 off a come from behind win against the Seattle Seahawks. Now, I didn’t think the Seahawks were going to be that great coming into this season, and I do think the Broncos are much improved. They have a quarterback that is an upgrade, a good rookie draft class, and they still have Von Miller. Case Keenum threw three interceptions and those kinds of turnovers really tanked the Broncos last season.

Lucky for them, Von Miller decided to have an DPOY/MVP type of day. Von Miller turned in 3 sacks on Russell Wilson and forced 2 fumbles, one of which he recovered. I don’t anticipate this being the case every week, but I do anticipate that the Broncos pass rush will be nasty. Bradley Chubb is still learning, and he is learning from one of the best.

The Broncos also saw the return of Emmanuel Sanders, and no I don’t mean he was injured. Believe it or not, the touchdown in which Sanders flipped into the end zone (a little part of me hoped that hurt) was his first touchdown since Week 2 of LAST season. Demaryius Thomas looked to have shaken off the rust after a few early mishaps, so expect to see Sanders and Thomas looking good in the next few weeks.

The Broncos came out of this game with no injuries which is always a great stat to see if you are a Broncos fan.

Next week, the Broncos host the Oakland Raiders. This game is going to be wild. I cannot wait to watch it. I get giddy thinking of how many times Carr is going to be sacked by Miller and Chubb, and I hope that the duo forgets that they will need to sack people in red and yellow in the future.

This will clearly be an important game for the Broncos as they look to advance to 2-0. Every divisional game is. Game time is 3:25 p.m. C.T.
