Bennie Logan signs with Tennessee Titans
By Matt Conner
The Tennessee Titans have added a solid player to their defensive front by signing away former Kansas City Chiefs lineman Bennie Logan.
The Tennessee Titans got a nice look at the play of Bennie Logan when it counted most—the postseason—just a few months ago. Clearly they came away impressed since they ended up signing him four months later, as the signing was announced over the weekend.
By signing Logan to a contract at this point, the veteran will be able to attend the team’s offseason program in full, if he so chooses. Logan played last season for the Kansas City Chiefs after signing a one-year, $8 million deal last year at this time as the Chiefs looked to replace Dontari Poe, who hit free agency as well this offseason.

Logan signed with the Titans after taking a free agent visit, his latest after also earning interest from other teams like the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks, per reports. Logan’s signing gives the Titans a formidable front after they also re-signed Daquan Jones, another solid performer against the run. Jurrell Casey is the anchor and the team also has other nice young players like Austin Johnson, Antwaun Woods and (former Chiefs DL) David King.
As for the Chiefs, the Chiefs already decided to move on after signing Xavier Williams on the open market. They were also reportedly interested in Star Lotulelei. It’s unknown whether or not the Chiefs will continue to add any more bodies up front, but it makes sense from most angles including quality and quantity. Williams teams with Chris Jones and Allen Bailey to form the starting line, and the team also has Jarvis Jenkins and Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
A rookie pick of some kind makes a lot of sense at the position for the Chiefs given the lack of commitments beyond 2018 besides Jones and Williams.
