The Tennessee Titans are showing interest in former Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Bennie Logan with a free agent visit on Monday.

The Tennessee Titans saw up close what Bennie Logan is capable of doing when they faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s opening round of the postseason, so it’s a nice compliment that they’ve asked Logan to also come in as a potential free agent on a visit this week.

Logan is a free agent defensive lineman hitting the open market in consecutive years after signing with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017 on a one-year contract. With that deal played out and the Chiefs making no overtures to keep him, Logan will undoubtedly find another team to land on, his third new team in three years. He started his career as an underrated, steady performer for the Philadelphia Eagles for the first four seasons of his career.

Logan filled in for the Chiefs as Dontari Poe’s substitute along the defensive line, and the shadow cast trying to do so likely worked against Logan from the outset. He was a nice rotational player next to Chris Jones, but he definitely wasn’t able to log the snaps or get after the passer in ways that made Chiefs fans forget what it’s like to have another dominant lineman there.

The Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks have already brought in Logan for visits in free agency and the fact that he’s still available likely means that teams are doing their homework for veterans to contact in case they still have significant openings after the 2018 NFL Draft. Logan should have no problem finding a job at his age and experience and ability, but he might have to wait unless a team, like the Titans, is worried that there are too many eyes on Logan already.

Logan had 52 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 12 starts for the Chiefs last season.
