Play 1: The Butt Touchdown
What is a Butt Touchdown? I bring you Exhibit A:
It appears that Chiefs QB Alex Smith was targeting WR Dwayne Bowe. Jets linebacker Calvin Pace performs a less-than-graceful block to break up the play; it wasn’t pretty but it was effective nonetheless.
Or was it?
As you can see, Anthony Fasano just happened to be taking a short break at the right time and the right place, snagged the rejected pass and then spun himself into the end zone. Easy touchdown for Fasano, and he didn’t even get winded.
Head coach Andy Reid said at the postgame interview:
