This Anthony Fasano Touchdown Actually Happened

Remember that time the New York Jets had the ‘Butt Fumble’ from Mark Sanchez? Well he may now be off the hook for the most ridiculous play in Jets history because Anthony Fasano now has the ‘Butt Touchdown.’

Late in the first quarter, the Chiefs drove down to the two yard line on their second drive of the game. In an attempt to get the Chiefs wide receivers — specifically Dwayne Bowe — their first touchdown of the season, Alex Smith ran a play-action play to get Bowe a touchdown. Alas(s), that did not happen.

Smith’s pass was batted down at the line of scrimmage by a Jets defender. Unfortunately, that ball landed in Fasano’s lap, who happened to be on his butt at the time for no apparent reason. The result was one of the more ridiculous touchdown receptions you’ll ever see.

Yes, that actually happened. Smith will never have a touchdown pass that fluky for the rest of his career.
