In the rivals’ first clash of 2013, the two cornerstones of Kansas City’s defense, Justin Houston and Tamba Hali, were both escorted to the sideline.
The latter returned the following week—albeit at partial strength. However, a dislocated right elbow scratched Houston from the final five regular-season games.
While No. 50 didn’t notch a sack, he recorded three pressures in only 11 pass-rushing snaps.
