Five drives into the Kansas City Chiefs offense's 2024 campaign, Xavier Worthy touched the ball for the first time and took off 21 yards down the field for the team's first points of the season. Patrick Mahomes flipped the ball to his rookie wide receiver and Worthy took it from there, weaving in and out of the Baltimore defense before crossing the goal line.
It was one heck of a way to kick off not just the Chiefs' season but Worthy's NFL career. It left other NFL players speechless and for good reason. This was the speedster's first glimpse of NFL action and on his first moment in the spotlight, he didn't disappoint.
While Worthy's touchdown run was enough of a highlight reel, the Korean radio call of the play was absolutely incredible.
Korean radio call channels every Chiefs fan after Xavier Worthy TD
Any radio broadcast from another country is always fun to listen to but this one was particularly fun. The announcers are clearly psyched about the touchdown and sound like, as Sergio Dipp would have once said, they were having the time of their lives.
Worthy's touchdown was important because it tied the game up after the Ravens stormed down the field and scored on their opening drive. Worthy's trip into the end zone tied things up at 7 all and from there the Chiefs were able to build on their lead with a Harrison Butker field goal after Lamar Jackson fumbled.
Let's hope these guys continue to turn out some fun calls after Chiefs touchdowns because they're a lot of fun to listen to. Doesn't hurt that they're excited to see the good guys score either.
