Tyreek Hill knows a thing or two about outrunning everyone else at Arrowhead Stadium, so perhaps he's the one with the most credibility to speak about the newest weapon imported by the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason with the draft selection of Xavier Worthy.

On Thursday, the Chiefs opened the season against the visiting Baltimore Ravens and it took exactly one series to see what all the hype was about concerning Worthy's elite speed and game-breaking ability. Actually, it was just one play.

If that looks familiar, a rookie speedster being used all over the field to create mismatches for the Chiefs offense, then you would be right. Hill was used in such a way during his first season in which he scored six touchdowns as a rusher and another six as a receiver. Between his offensive contributions and his return skills, Hill made his first of many Pro Bowls for the Chiefs in his freshman season in 2016.

Well, they say game recognizes game and that proved true on Twitter (er, X) on Thursday night following Worthy's first big moment as a pro.

Given the fact that Hill is still very much in his prime, with back-to-back 1,700-yard seasons, it's not as if Hill is conceding his crown as the league's best deep threat anytime soon. But for the Chiefs, it appers there's finally someone in place to provide some real vertical juice for the first time since the team traded Hill to Miami back in '22.
