Tyreek Hill leaves door open for Chiefs reunion with "business" comments

The idea of blowing up the Miami Dolphins seemed like something that was unthinkable just a few weeks ago, but the concussion sustained by Tua Tagovailoa and the fact Miami has fallen off the face of the earth had many around the league taking a long look at star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Hill not only got the rumor mill churning with a quick tweet amid all of the Davante Adams trade buzz, but he did so at a time when his old flames in the Kansas City Chiefs have started to look at the trade market following injuries to Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown at wide receiver.

Hill didn't exactly try to squash those rumors when confronted directly about it. While he did say that he is committed to the Dolphins, there were some interesting comments on the tail end of his original comment that could raise some eyebrows around the Kansas City area.

"I'm just focused on right here and right now," Hill said. "We've got a beautiful team here and I want to be a part of it...We've got a great situation here, my family loves it, I enjoy it, the weather's great, the fans are great...We all know the NFL is a business. Whatever happens, happens."

Hill's production has gone down the toilet this season, but such declines are to be expected when Tagovailoa is knocked out and a collection of Skylar Thompson, Tyler Huntley, and the useless Tim Boyle are slotted in at quarterback. Hill is getting open, but none of these quarterbacks can stretch the field.

The only reason the Dolphins would even consider trading Hill is if Tagovailoa is unable to return to his old form and Chris Grier is convinced there is no way to build a winner with this current infrastructure. Handing Hill back to a team like Kansas City would be a major about-face.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how Hill going to Kansas City would be a major shot in the arm offensively, with or without Rice. Hill's speed, playmaking as a runner, and symbiotic relationship with Xavier Worthy could supercharge a stale Chiefs passing attack.

A Hill trade is unlikely, but not impossible. If Miami loses a few more games and decides to sell, the idea of a Kansas City reunion after an odd exit may be in the cards.
