Travis Kelce just had the best Tuesday ever

While Kansas City and the rest of the NFL were busy cutting players to reach the 53-man roster limit, the Chiefs' star tight end was making even more of a name for himself outside the game. By the end of the day he arguably had the best Tuesday of anybody on the planet.

For so many players in the National Football League, this past Tuesday was a dreaded one. "Roster cut day" meant that all 32 franchises had to waive and release dozens of young men fighting for roster spots to pursue their lifelong dreams.

For Travis Kelce, however, Tuesday was truly a day to remember. In fact, he spent the day doing much better than everybody else in the league.

It all started early Tuesday morning when it was announced that Kelce and his brother Jason signed a deal worth more than $100 million to bring their podcast to Amazon Wondery. "We couldn't be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of New Heights," Jason and Travis said in a statement.

The deal was announced one day before the popular podcast began its third season and the two co-owners of Garage Beer made sure to inform people that their new partnership with Amazon wouldn't affect the show in any way:

Shortly after the deal was announced it became apparent that Kelce knew what he wanted to spend his new paycheck on. That's because, within six hours of the nine-figure deal hitting the internet, Kelce had already bought a "significant ownership stake" in a racehorse.

But it wasn't just any racehorse that Kelce bought a stake in, it was a 3-year-old gelding named 'Swift Delivery' which fits perfectly with Kelce's world-famous girlfriend Taylor Swift.

While the horse's name was "a total coincidence" it fit perfectly and is already booked to race this upcoming Saturday in a one-mile race at Woodbine.

Now Kelce can add racehorse owner to his long list of off-the-field accolades that now includes co-owning a beer company with his brother, being featured on the face of cereal boxes, hosting the Smarter Than a 5th Grader reboot, and securing an unknown role in the upcoming sequel to Adam Sandler's 1996 cult classic Happy Gilmore.

Kelce's day got even better when his general manager, Brett Veach, made a cut-day trade with the Dallas Cowboys to bring tight end Peyton Hendershot to Kansas City. The trade not only gives Kansas City some depth at the position, but it allows head coach Andy Reid to provide Kelce with an NFL version of load management when it comes to run blocking.

Now Kelce can preserve his strength as he turns 35, which will allow him to keep his body well-rested and prepared for the playoffs throughout the regular season.

All in all, Kelce had possibly the best Tuesday known to man. A $100 million check in his bank account, a racehorse with his girlfriend's name under his ownership, and a new addition to the tight end room that will help him have possibly his best season ever.

Not bad for a Tuesday.
