Kansas City Chiefs fans had already seen enough of Skyy Moore, but he further solidified why it was time for the team to cut bait and move from the wide receiver during its game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4.

With the Chiefs facing a 3rd-and-2 and needing a first down to move the chains, Patrick Mahomes fired a pass Moore's way only for him to, you guessed it, not come up with the catch.

It's time for the Chiefs to move on from Skyy Moore once and for all

This isn't a new trend with Moore. Ever since the Western Michigan product joined the Chiefs in 2022, he's been underwhelming. From dropped passes to more dropped passes to even more dropped passes, Moore has been a letdown after KC spent a second-round pick on him two years ago.

That conversion wouldn't have exactly changed how fans feel about Moore but it'd at least have maybe saved him from being under fire for a week. We're at the point now where anytime someone catches their first touchdown pass as a Chief, we say "Look they have as many touchdown passes as Skyy Moore!" because he's been that easy to dunk on.

Chiefs Kingdom was understandably up in arms again after watching Moore drop another pass when the team desperately needed someone to rise up in a tough game.

Some fans are ready to see other players get a chance instead of Moore.

The Chiefs have been struggling to find help at wide receiver since Tyreek Hill was traded two years ago. Rashee Rice was injured against the Chargers after Mahomes threw an interception, making the position look even worse. That's why the Chiefs probably don't cut Moore loose but he's not adding anything to this roster.

Through his first three games of the 2024 season (so not counting this game against the Chargers), Moore had not been targeted a single time. This has to be his last year with the team that drafted him and maybe he goes on to be decent elsewhere but that place clearly isn't Kansas City.
