Potential Sneaky-Good Match-Ups?

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons were aggressive this offseason, signing Kirk Cousins in free agency and hoping to turn the tides in the NFC South. If Cousins is healthy enough to take the field and play at a high level for the Falcons, this could be a sneaky-fun game to have in primetime.

Cleveland Browns

Some might be confused by me including the Browns in the sneaky-good section but they surprised a lot of people last year after being down to their fourth-string quarterback. The Browns won their games by playing good defense and leaning on their run game. If it's a defensive-minded team again in 2024, they could be a fun team to pit against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs under the lights.

New Orleans Saints

Derek Carr has a history with the Chiefs considering he used to play them twice a year every year for the first nine years of his career. He never had much success against them but he's with a new team as of last season, taking snaps as the quarterback of the Saints. New Orleans is such a wild card entering the 2024 season but if their offensive line performs better, Carr and the Saints should be a respectable team and could be worth pitting against the Chiefs in a standalone game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady isn't a Buc anymore but there are plenty of storylines between these two teams. The Bucs bested the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV and that right there is a talking point if these two go up against each other in a primetime game. The Buccaneers surprised a lot of people last year and won their division so they could end up being an option to have play KC in primetime.
