Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney, Wide Receivers

In terms of the wide receiver room, the only player we know for a fact will return is Rashee Rice. Everyone else is on the chopping block one way or another.

I made the executive decision to pair up Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney like the twins from The Shining. They're both pretty much in the same boat. Both are young, but non-rookie wide receivers who the Chiefs invested Day 2 draft picks into. Both were expected to be key parts of the offense this season, but both have been unplayable for much of this season.

Whether or not one, both, or neither of Toney or Moore return next season will depend on how Brett Veach and Andy Reid decide to build the wide receiver room. Other than Rice, will the Chiefs bring in three new players (two significant free agents and an early draft pick) or will they decide that just two new faces will be enough? If only two, the odds of both returning are very good. If the team chooses to tear it down (other than Rice) and start fresh, the odds of neither returning are also very good.

In the end, given how the Chiefs would see $0 in savings by cutting Toney ($2.53M in savings with a trade) and just $824K by cutting or trading Moore, the chances of both players coming back next season are reasonably high. Much to the chagrin of fans, it's the likely scenario that Moore and Toney are on the team yet again.

Odds that both are back: 55%
Odds that just one is back: 30%
Odds that neither are back: 15%
