Las Vegas Raiders

Confession time: I run my office’s fantasy football league and I drafted Josh Jacobs. The contract year is undefeated, right? Well, he kept me undefeated this week. Jacobs had his way on the field against the Texans. He looked almost unstoppable notching three touchdowns. He is showing how vital he is to the overall offense. If he is working, the offense is working.

The rest of the game was kind of strange. The Texans are not a great team and they hung around for a while. The Raiders almost Raider-ed this game away. In the end, though, they pulled away and the final score wasn’t all that close.

Ultimately, the Raiders kind of look like they may have figured things out. They started the season abysmally, but they have bounced back and look like they could contend for a wild card spot in the playoffs. The Chiefs-Raiders showdown in Vegas will certainly be an interesting one.

In other news, we are closing in on the trade deadline and the Raiders have been active with the trade of defensive lineman Jonathan Hankins, who is now a Cowboy. That’s a rough trade because I’m not sure which is worse: being a Raider or a Cowboy.

Next week, the Raiders get the Saints. I do not know who is going to start for the Saints and I’m pretty sure they don’t know either. Regardless, the Saints have a lot of problems and the Raiders should win. I think the more important storyline, however, is the awesome uniform matchup. The silver and black against the black and gold? Count me in.
