Around the AFC West, Week 8: Chiefs roar back, Raiders survive

Denver Broncos
Wow, the Broncos should just hang it up for this season. They shot and ROYALLY missed when they signed Russell Wilson to a massive contract this offseason. Wilson has been a huge bust, whether it is Wilson or the coaching staff or just bad luck. I think it is probably a combination of everything.
Regardless, they had a fairly difficult test against the Jets this week made infinitely more difficult by the fact that Wilson was sidelined by a hamstring injury. Brett Rypien got the start and it was rough.

The quarterback situation in Denver is crazy. I like this idea though:
If the Russell Wilson injury is serious, the Denver Broncos should reach out to the Seattle Seahawks.

With the emergence of Geno Smith, the Seahawks have a talented, young QB in Drew Lock who has a lot to prove.
Could be opportunity now in Denver.
It looks like we might see a fire sale in Denver with rumors swirling around Bradley Chubb, Jerry Jeudy, and KJ Hamler. We’ll see what Broncos management thinks about their prospects for the future and whether they will trade young pieces away during a season that looks like it is over.
#Broncos top pass-rusher Bradley Chubb will be traded likely by Tuesday if Denver losses to the #Jaguars on Week 8, according to Mike Florio. pic.twitter.com/2Xk0ueJyyS

Next week, the Broncos have Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars. Doug Pederson is the head coach and knows the Broncos well having coached against them a lot during his tenure with the Chiefs. I anticipate the Jags will have their way with the Broncos, and this will be another Denver game that I will actively have to avoid vomiting while watching.
