Let’s look at the lists of inactive players for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers for Week 7.

It was only a few days ago that the San Francisco 49ers looked like they were the walking wounded. From the season-opening injury to franchise quarterback Trey Lance, it felt like the franchise was cursed coming into a season in which they were expected to potentially make a run at a Super Bowl appearance and represent the NFC behind a young and talented roster that’s deep on both sides.

This week, however, the 49ers have turned the corner when it comes to health just as the Kansas City Chiefs ride into town.

That’s not to say that the Niners are at full strength. However, they are in much better shape than they have been in weeks, and that begins with the return of both pass rusher Nick Bosa and left tackle Trent Williams to the field after missing a few weeks. Both players would likely line up as the two most talented players overall on the roster, so obviously getting both to return is huge in a big non-conference game.

As for those who are out, the Chiefs have already made it known that cornerback Rashad Fenton is inactive for another week as he deals with a hamstring injury. Fenton was out last week as well and it forced the Chiefs to rely on two day three corners as their starters in a close loss to the Buffalo Bills. For the Niners, the only player officially declared out well in advance was defensive lineman Arik Armstead.

Here’s a look at the list of inactive players for the Chiefs:

  • Rashad Fenton, CB
  • Ronald Jones, RB
  • Nazeeh Johnson, S
  • Joshua Kaindoh, DL
  • Darian Kinnard, OL
  • Michael Danna, DL
  • Shane Buechele, QB

Here’s a look at the list of inactive players for the San Francisco 49ers:

  • Arik Armstead, DL
  • Kemoko Turay, DL
  • Jordan Mason, RB
  • Nick Zakelj, OL
  • Tyler Kroft, TE
  • Dontae Johnson, CB

The Chiefs and 49ers are set to kick off at 3:25 p.m. C.T. at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
