Denver Broncos

Let me start this with the following statement: I hate the Broncos. That being said, thank you for going up one point on the 49ers, but I hate you for winning. Let me explain: Kansas now allows sports betting and my husband, after consulting me, put $15 on the Broncos going up by one point anytime during the game. By the third quarter, he was pretty mad at me. They ultimately did and that was the final score: the Broncos beat the 49ers by one point.

Look, everyone was hyping the Broncos at the beginning of the year but they look pretty bad. Russell Wilson was a great quarterback, but it seems like we are seeing the “past his prime” version.

I wouldn’t say the Broncos won this so much as the 49ers lost the game. Let’s look at a crucial play:

Jimmy G. decided to forget that there is an “out of bounds” in the back of the endzone and handed the Broncos a safety. Dummy.

Let me put this another way…

What a terrible game. I really dislike these bad Sunday Night Football matchups, but I get that they are projecting before real games are played. At the end of the day, neither team looks good and the Broncos need to figure some things out if they hope to compete with the Chiefs or Chargers. No, I’m not including the Raiders as contenders because they are awful.

However, I do think that next week, the Raiders might finally get a win because they are playing the Broncos. The Broncos cannot score. The Raiders aren’t good, but it is a divisional game and those are always fun.
