Las Vegas Raiders

What a time to be alive! Is it the greatest Monday when you get to wake up having stomped the Raiders? Yes, yes it is. That’s exactly what happened to the Raiders on Sunday night. Nothing—and I mean nothing—could go right for the Raiders and it began with excellent pressure on Derek Carr. I have long believed that if you hit Carr early in the game, he transforms into what I would look like on a professional football field.

My favorite plays? Well, let’s take a look. First, Desean Jackson with his first Raiders catch:

I wasn’t watching but this had to be on “Come on Man” on Monday Night Football right? My other favorite: the patented Derek Carr arm punt.

This game got out of control for the Raiders pretty quickly. They have dealt with a lot of off-the-field issues, and maybe it caught up to them on Sunday night. Regardless, they certainly have to go home this week and rethink everything if they want to remain in the conversation for a playoff spot.

The biggest injury out of Sunday’s game is the loss of fullback Alec Ingold to a season-ending torn ACL. Running back Jalen Richard also left the game with rib injuries. Derek Carr left the game with a broken heart.

Next week, the Raiders will try to stop their 2 game losing streak when they host the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have struggled lately so this could be a “get right game” or it could be one of those where you question whether the teams really deserve to be considered “professional.”
