Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos, following a blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys, probably went into Sunday hoping to show the world that it was not just a fluke. Guess what? It was definitely a fluke. The Donkeys could not handle the high-flying antics of the Philadelphia Eagles (please note the sarcasm) and shocked no one when they came back to earth with a resounding loss. The Eagles, to their credit, smacked the Broncos. Hilarious.

The play of the game goes to Darius Slay when he housed a fumble recovery:

Denver was close to tying the game when this play was made, and it all but sealed the deal for the Eagles. The Broncos would not score again and would tumble down the rankings in the AFC West. Controversy surrounded Teddy Bridgewater following the lack of effort he put into tackling Slay.

I find it hard to believe Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t lay someone out, but what do I know. Either way, the Broncos showed they are not the team to beat in the AFC West. And, now they have to stew on it as the Broncos enter their bye week. Will we see Drew Lock after the bye considering the Bridgewater controversy? I doubt it, but it is always fun to stir up the rumor mill…
