Right guard

The offensive line is an obvious area to watch given the number of new faces along the line, but we all know that Orlando Brown Jr. is the left tackle and Joe Thuney is left guard. We also pretend we don’t know that Creed Humphrey is the starting center. That leaves right guard and right tackle to sort out, with the latter being the biggest concern in the wake of Kyle Long’s injury.

How will Laurent Duvernay-Tardif look in his first action back from last season? (Remember he’s been out.) How will Trey Smith fare with further coaching when compared alongside the veterans? And what about Andrew Wylie, who has consistently been a plug-and-play option for a team who has leaned on his reliability for three straight seasons?

There are other faces, of course, in the running and holdover prospects like Yasir Durant and Darryl Williams and Nick Allegretti are all looking for places to play. The loser between Mike Remmers and Lucas Niang at right tackle could also slide inside. Of course, none of this will be decided in minicamp, but it will help with the evaluative process.
