Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos hosted the Raiders in their final game of the season. The Broncos, marred by injuries throughout the year, were certainly the worse team on the field. They were looking to head into the offseason with a strong showing after questions swirled around whether Drew Lock was the quarterback for the future and how so much talent could lead to such terrible results.

The Broncos were cursed by the goal posts as Maxx Crosby was able to block a 70-yard field goal right before half and he blocked a 63-yard attempt that would have given the Broncos the walk off win.

The Broncos put up a fight but ultimately were denied the last second win. Now they are faced with the realities of the offseason. Most importantly, the Broncos are now searching for a new GM. It was announced that John Elway is no longer the GM but will stay on as President of Football Operations.

That means the Broncos are searching for the piece they think is missing, a talent analyst who can manage cap, etc. Numerous names have been thrown out, among them Champ Kelly and Terry Fontenot. This will be a big decision as it will impact them in many upcoming offseasons. The Broncos hold the 9th overall pick after finishing the season 5-11 and may consider a quarterback or some help in their defensive secondary. Who knows what the new GM will bring to the table?
