Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos, behind rookie quarterback Drew Lock, traveled to Houston to take on the Texan, who were coming off a huge victory against the New England Patriots. Everyone had kind of tossed this up as a loss for the Broncos, but those of us who wrote them off were stunned. The Texans looked like they were still in a fog and forgot they had to finish the season. Drew Lock came out swinging throwing 3 touchdowns in the first half, effectively putting the game away early.

Not only that, the Denver defense came to play. Kareem Jackson had a career day in his return to Houston by logging an interception and returning a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown. The Broncos dominated the day and garbage time made this scoreboard appear closer than it actually was.

Something to watch heading into next week is the status of tight end Noah Fant. He left with a foot injury and has been listed on the injury report all week. Additionally, defensive end Dre’mont Jones left with an ankle injury that is worth monitoring.

Next week, the Broncos travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. While the Chiefs have locked up the AFC West, this game is still interesting. The Broncos have not been able to beat the Chiefs in years, but there is a new fire behind Drew Lock. If they can pull off the upset, there will be a lot to say about the future of the Broncos. However, the Chiefs defense has been playing really well and I think they will feast on a rookie quarterback.

Opening line odds for the Broncos in Week 15:

Game time is 12:00 p.m.
