Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos traveled to Buffalo to take on the Bills. The Bills are still a mystery to me. They haven’t really beaten any tough teams, and the Broncos would qualify as “not a tough team.” So, naturally, they won.

The Broncos still have so many questions at the quarterback spot as Brandon Allen has taken over with Drew Lock practicing as the presumptive heir to the throne. Brandon Allen was under duress for the entire game and Shaq Lawson made sure they remembered his name. The Broncos’ offense is pitiful and there will need to be some serious changes this offseason if the Broncos want to have any hope of being successful in the future.

On a positive note, the Broncos sustained only a few injuries. Josey Jewell had an ankle injury and cornerback Duke Dawson left after being evaluated for a concussion. It will be interesting to see what the Broncos do in the next few weeks at the quarterback spot with Drew Lock reportedly making progress every day. This Broncos team needs a shot of adrenaline so it might be smart to see what they have since they aren’t making the playoffs.

Next week, the Broncos host the Chargers. Both teams are playing pretty poorly, but the Broncos are just worse. Unless the Broncos decide to make a change at quarterback, I just don’t see them pulling out a victory against a Chargers team that still has a glimmer of hope for a Wild Card spot.

The one thing the Broncos have going for them is their defense. If Rivers continues his downward spiral, the Broncos might log 47 interceptions and find a way to win, but if Rivers manages to put together even a mediocre game, the Broncos will not win.

Opening line odds for the Broncos in Week 13: +2.5.

Game time is 3:25 p.m.
