4. Daryl Williams, OT, Carolina Panthers

Daryl Williams was a fourth round pick for the Carolina Panthers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He has spent the last four plus seasons in Carolina, starting 35 games including all six this year.

Williams signed a one-year contract to remain in Carolina when his rookie deal expired after 2018. Clearly, the Panthers like what they have in the 27-year-old Oklahoma product. So why would they trade him?

The re-signing of Williams was so he could play tackle for the team, but he’s struggled there and moved inside as a result to fill in for injured Trai Turner and Greg Little. Both are expected to return shortly and if he can’t cut it on the outside, its reasonable to assume that they’d look to recoup some sort of asset for the five year pro before he finds free agency again this spring.

Williams may be the toughest of this list to pry free from his current team, but giving up a mid-round pick or so would ensure the Chiefs the depth they need to remain competitive in the face of injury during the playoff stretch .
