Frank Clark is the second member of the Kansas City Chiefs roster to appear on the NFL’s top 100 list as it’s being revealed at No. 85.

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to have more than their fair share of representatives on this year’s NFL’s Top 100 players if the early going says anything about the forthcoming list.

Every year the NFL ranks the league’s top 100 players as voted upon by the league’s players themselves. It’s a sign of respect, to be sure, but it’s also an accurate list in a way that it’s peers voting for peers. Those in the trenches are recognizing excellence in the trenches. Every honor is nice to earn as a player, but there’s gotta be something special about landing on this list.

Right tackle Mitchell Schwartz was the first player to show up on the list as it’s being revealed backward, counting down from 100. The NFL’s reigning ironman came in at No. 94 overall, and now he’s joined by the newest addition on the team in star defensive end Frank Clark.

Clark came in at No. 85 overall on Tuesday as the NFL unveiled the next 10. You can check out the video below:

Clark responded with a retweet and an immediate love of his new environment.

Clark was the major acquisition of the spring for general manager Brett Veach, brought over in a major trade that demanded the Chiefs first round pick and more for the rights to Clark from the Seattle Seahawks. The cost was high but for good reason: Clark is known as an absolute game-wrecker along the defensive front.

Clark, who just turned 26, has 32 sacks over the last three seasons and will be the anchor for the pass rush in the Chiefs newly revamped defense under coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
