Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Allen Bailey has agreed to a two-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

According to Adam Schefter, one of the most intriguing free agents still available in the NFL finally found a place to land with word that defensive lineman Allen Bailey signed a two-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

Terms of the deal leaked thus far indicate that Bailey will make up to $10.5 million over the life of the deal but only $3.5 million of that is guaranteed for the former Kansas City Chiefs lineman.

Bailey enjoyed his eighth and final year with the Chiefs last season by setting a career-high total of 6 sacks, and the end was part of a larger unit that led the entire NFL in sacks—a group of players that included Justin Houston and Dee Ford. All three players were somehow deemed expendable by the Chiefs after the season.

As for Bailey, he had earned several free agent visits around the NFL—more than most players—but had yet to sign before Monday. His visits had included the arrowheadaddict.com bailey seahawks, Carolina PanthersNew England Patriots and Falcons.

It’s interesting to see another former Chiefs defensive lineman sign with Atlanta in recent years. Scott Pioli is out of the front office, but that didn’t stop Bailey from joining a string of former Chiefs-to-Atlanta signings like Dontari Poe and Tyson Jackson. Bailey will provide a rotational body and depth behind Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley along with Adrian Clayborn.
