We polled the FanSided experts from our AFC West rivals to get an outside perspective on the Chiefs. Today’s subject: the Tyreek Hill investigation.

All this week, we’re polling the experts on each of FanSided’s sites from the Kansas City Chiefs rivals to get their outside perspective on internal issues. It’s easy to often see things from a homer sort of perspective here at Arrowhead Addict, and we wanted to see thing with fresh eyes.

You can see yesterday’s post on Patrick Mahomes here, but our post today looks at perhaps the single biggest point of drama this offseason: Tyreek Hill.

Right now, the situation with Hill is still unresolved. Some are wondering why he’s even on the roster while others understand that the team is likely waiting to see what actions, if any, the NFL will take. They’ve been burned before by letting a player go, thinking they are doing the right thing, only to see another team lauded for picking up the same player just weeks later (running back Kareem Hunt).

Until any and all investigations are wrapped up, Hill’s standing on the active roster will remain a bit of a mystery moving forward. Here’s what the rest of the AFC West is saying about the Chiefs and Tyreek.

The Chiefs are still employing Tyreek Hill for now and the team’s fan base is splintered in many ways about what to think. From your perspective, what’s the read on Tyreek and how the Chiefs have handled things?

Sayre Bedinger (Broncos): I think from the Broncos’ perspective and everyone else’s perspective, the stuff off the field with the Chiefs seems to be piling up to the point that it’s frustrating the league hasn’t taken action.

Rivalries aside, the Chiefs have employed prominent players who have really been terrible for the league from a PR standpoint and, really, just a human being standpoint. It’s not just Tyreek Hill; it’s Kareem Hunt and now Frank Clark, who fell in the draft because of the same type of issues.

Travis Wakeman (Chargers): I’m surprised that he hasn’t been released. It just sends a poor message, particularly with the baggage he brought with him to the league. I heard some analyst, I can’t remember who offhand, who argued that the Chiefs cutting Hill now may make his temperament even worse and put his girlfriend in a dangerous situation as a result. I find that ridiculous.

Brad Weiss (Raiders): Most of the Raiders fan base have been roasting the Chiefs all offseason because of Hill, and rightfully so. The tape where you can hear him talking to his girlfriend is pretty horrifying. The problem here, with the league and the Chiefs, is there is no video evidence of anything. That really hamstrings teams as to what they can do.

Is he a great talent on the field? Yes, of course he is, but he has a pattern of this kind of behavior. The Chiefs have planned for whatever happens, especially after drafting Mecole Hardman in the second round this April. If I am running the Chiefs, Hill has to go, and he would be had there been a tape like there was with Kareem Hunt. However, like anything, this will have to run its course.
