The case for drafting Nasir Adderley at 29

Overview

While this safety class is somewhat thin, it seems likely that one of the top players at the position will be available when and if the Chiefs pick at 29. Delaware’s Nasir Adderley is a physical safety that showcases his range on the back end. As a guy who would pair with Tyrann Mathieu, he would make a ton of sense with the Chiefs.

Fit with the Chiefs

Adderley is not expected to play a traditional strong safety role. As aformentioned, he will probably spend time as a free safety which would make him a great compliment to the Chiefs newest safety Tyrann Mathieu. With his added physicality, he may prove to be more versatile than some may have projected, which would serve Steve Spagnuolo and the Chiefs very well going forward.
