PLAYERS LIKELY TO BE THERE

The case for Jerry Tillery at pick 29

Overview

Notre Dame defensive tackle Jerry Tillery has been one of my favorite players in this draft for months. With a great balance of strength and quickness, he is a great mismatch for interior offensive linemen. With good burst and hands, he will be nightmare for NFL offenses for years to come. His stock is way too low for his production and potential.

Fit with the Chiefs

Spagnuolo has made it obvious that he likes bigger guys up front that have some versatility so that they can run stunts and use blitz packages. If the Chiefs drafted Tillery, I believe they would get a similar player to Chris Jones and what defense would ever say that they didn’t want two of Chris Jones? Tillery would provide immediate help with the pass rush for years to come.
