Quarterback – Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs

Okay, I totally cheated here, but I just wanted to take a second to acknowledge how amazing it has been to not have to watch a single snap of quarterback prospects for the past two draft classes because we are 100% set with one of the best young quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. It’s such a weird feeling for us Chiefs fans. We’ve never been here before.

Anyway, if the Chiefs wanted to use a 7th round pick on a developmental guy to eventually replace Chad Henne as Mahomes’ back-up, I’d be fine with that, but quarterback simply isn’t a need for this team. Hopefully I don’t have to develop a draft crush on another quarterback for a very long time. Patrick Mahomes, my football heart only has eyes for you.
