Patrick Mahomes to launch No. 15 & The Mahomies foundation
Leigh Steinberg, Patrick Mahomes’ agent, confirmed Mahomes will launch No. 15 & The Mahomies, which will help kids in the Kansas City area.
Following a spectacular 2018 season in which he won the National Football League’s MVP award, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is enjoying his offseason. He’s been seen at Treyarch Studios, the creators of Call of Duty video games, while also sitting courtside at both Lakers and Mavericks games.
As Mahomes gets ready for OTAs in his third year in the league, he is expected to officially launch his charitable foundation soon.

I spoke to Leigh Steinberg, Mahomes’ agent, as he was a guest on The Chiefs Zone podcast. While discussing Mahomes’ public image, Steinberg mentioned that Mahomes will launch his own charitable foundation, which will be announced later this offseason.
Steinberg confirmed that Mahomes foundation, No. 15 & The Mahomies, will help children in Kansas City with health problems, kids at risk and kids that want more sports opportunities.
Steinberg mentioned that Mahomes spent many of his off days doing charity work during the 2018 season. As the season went along, Mahomes visited patients at the University of Kansas Health System, helped paint homes for veterans and surprised a youth football team, just to name a few.
“The whole approach to Kansas City is to try and put down roots in that community,” Steinberg said. “The whole point was to try to give back to Kansas City.”
After throwing an NFL record 10 touchdown passes in the first two weeks of the regular season, including six touchdowns against the Steelers, Steinberg was not surprised by the amount of support and craze that poured in from Chiefs fans and the media for Mahomes.
Prior to replacing Alex Smith as the starting quarterback, Steinberg knew there would be a chance that Mahomes would attract a lot of attention once he took the reins as the starting quarterback.
“We had prepared Patrick for the fact that he would be in the limelight,” Steinberg said. “He understood that.”
With Mahomes’ foundation, No. 15 & The Mahomies, set to launch in a couple of weeks, it is likely that you can expect even more of Mahomes when it comes to charity work. It should not come as a surprise if Mahomes was the Chiefs nominee for the Walter Payton Award for the 2019-2020 season.
