SAMMY WATKINS

One very important injury to consider belongs to wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Watkins was an offseason addition that many questioned due to his production in Los Angeles as well as Buffalo. In 2018, Chiefs fans are still not sure.

When the season started Watkins played second fiddle to Tyreek Hill as well as Travis Kelce, but he was a constant threat. After he sustained a foot injury during a victory over the Cleveland Browns, Watkins has not played a snap since leaving the door open for Demarcus Robinson. Robinson has been a very valuable player in Watkins’ absence, but he does not have the same ceiling that Watkins possesses.

Getting Watkins back for the postseason would be a boost for the high flying offense of the Chiefs, but if he is not able to suit up, the Chiefs have a lot of reliable alternatives to turn to at the number two wide receiver slot.

When it comes to injuries the Chiefs are in great shape overall. The team is healthy for the most part and all of these potentially returning players would serve as boosts to an already strong roster. The Chiefs are hungry for a home playoff win, and this roster could be the one to get it done—especially if Watkins, Ware, and Berry can make it back.
