Our Arrowhead Addict writers have made their choices for this Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Will the Chiefs roll as expected?

After coming off another victory in Week 9 versus the Cleveland Browns, the Kansas City Chiefs return to Arrowhead to face off with the Arizona Cardinals. While no team can be slept on in the NFL, this is one of the easiest matchups, on paper, to this point of the season.

The Cardinals are having a rough season behind rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. The Chiefs are averaging over 20 points more per game than the opposition. Arrowhead will be rocking Sunday to help the Chiefs get to a hopeful 9-1 start to the season.

Writer Averages: Chiefs  39.5, Cardinals 16.8

The Cardinals have the worst run defense in the league, which is going to lead running back Kareem Hunt to have a monster day. I’m expecting another multi-TD game for Hunt and 100+ rushing yards at least. Led by a strong rushing game, the passing game will open up for Mahomes to work his magic like he’s done all season and lead the Chiefs to another win. Chiefs 45, Cardinals 17

Two reasons I would bet my jerseys on this game: the point spread for this game is the biggest of the 2018 season and the Cardinals are dead last in total offensive rankings. Although the Cardinals are coming off a bye and this game is following Josh Rosen’s best performance, it just won’t be enough to beat K.C.’s army. Chiefs 32, Cardinals 18

This game is pretty simple. The Chiefs are averaging 36.3 points per game and the Cardinals are averaging just 13.8. The Cardinals just don’t have the firepower to come into Arrowhead and outscore the Chiefs. Period. Chiefs 38 Cardinals 17

The Cardinals are very, very bad. The Chiefs are very, very good. This one won’t be pretty. Chiefs 42, Cardinals 17

The oddsmakers aren’t going high enough. The Chiefs are going to blow out the Cardinals and rest some players at the same time. There won’t be any letdown here. Mahomes and his weaponized cohorts are salivating at this game and they are going to have some fun. Chiefs 41, Cardinals 17

Brandon Norris
The Chiefs are focused on Ram week and will play this game with caution to keep injury risk down heading into Rams game and bye week. Chiefs come out with the win, it won’t be a 50 point game. Chiefs 35, Cardinals 17

The Chiefs will outrace the Cardinals 30-14. Mahomes has another great day and all Chiefs Kingdom will begin to look forward to next Monday! Chiefs 30, Cardinals 14

The Chiefs are playing an easy game this week. The Cardinals are not a very good team and the Chiefs are on a roll. I anticipate, however, that a number of Chiefs starters that are dealing with injury will be rested or get limited playing time (Watkins, Sorenson, Houston). That will make the final score slightly closer than it otherwise would be, but the Chiefs will pull out the win. Chiefs 45, Cardinals 17

The Cardinals come stumbling into a hostile environment. With a struggling offense, it does not appear to be a good matchup for Arizona. I expect Kareem Hunt to have another big day once again and Pat Mahomes to continue on his quest to be the MVP.  Chiefs 37, Cardinals 20

Bold prediction, I think the Chiefs score on every drive and won’t punt nor turn the ball over. Arizona has a rookie quarterback while the Cardinals struggling offense is either worst or second worst in every main category. Chiefs should take care of business at home. Chiefs 44, Cardinals 17

Oh Arizona, you silly, silly birds. All you had to do was trade Patrick Peterson to the Chiefs for a reasonable price. Everyone would have been happy. But alas, you did no such thing and now the Chiefs will throttle you. I even like Josh Rosen, but the Chiefs will run over the Cards. With another 300-yard, 3-plus touchdown performance from Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs 41, Cardinals 10

Mason Whitlock
The Cardinals come in with shaky rookie Josh Rosen at quarterback, and a lackluster defense to boot. The Chiefs are still rolling, I expect Watkins to sit this week because this should be easy. I honestly don’t think this game is close at all. I also don’t think we punt one time. Chiefs win big at home. Chiefs 49, Cardinals 10

The Kansas City Chiefs are playing the Arizona Cardinals this week and that is all the analysis that is needed for this game. The Chiefs will easily defeat the Cardinals in a game that is probably uglier than it should be just because they aren’t too serious this week, we then move onto Rams week. Chiefs 35, Cardinals 27
