The Kansas City Chiefs keep their foot on the gas and remain unbeaten by downing the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas City Chiefs, coming off an emotional win over the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, looked to keep that hype train rolling against the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars. The weather looked like it would be against the Chiefs high-flying offense. However, the rain held off and it allowed Patrick “Showtime” Mahomes to answer another call.

The Jaguars have the best defense in the league; and boy, do those players like to tell you about it. Jalen Ramsey is the best player on that Jaguars unit, and he did a lot of talking leading into this game. This is clearly the toughest test Mahomes will face all year long, and like every other challenge he stood up.

Mahomes posted yet another 300 yard game—318 to be exact. He also ran in a touchdown for the second straight week. Against the best defense in the NFL though, the gunslinger threw his first interception on the year, then with under 10 minutes to go up 30-7, he threw his second interception on the year. This was his first career multi-pick game.

After an off week, Travis Kelce hauled in seven receptions for over 100 yards. Kelce was targeted eight times. His longest reception on the day was 80-yards.

Sammy Watkins who many did not know if he would play this game, went for 78 yards receiving. Tyreek Hill burned All-pro corner Jalen Ramsey for a huge 36-yard gain which served as the biggest chunk of his 61 yard total on the day.

Defensively, the Chiefs were solid. It was not against a quality offense, but nonetheless the Chiefs were still very good. Up front, Kansas City sacked Blake Bortles four times, with seven hurries, and seven pressures. Dee Ford was incredible this afternoon. Ford sacked Bortles once, but hit him three times, and had a pass breakup. Ford also collected five tackles. Allen Bailey, Xavier Williams, Chris Jones, and Terrance Smith also joined the sack party.

Jones also grabbed a pick six—yes you read that right—which really iced the game in the first half. Steven Nelson also got a timely pick in the end zone. That was not all, the third pick of the day was also in the end zone and it came by way of Jordan Lucas who returned it 49 yards setting the Chiefs up at midfield. With four seconds left, Orlando Scandrick got the Chiefs secondary their fourth pick—again in the end zone.

The Chiefs also saw their fair share of injuries. Pass rusher Dee Ford gimped off with a stinger, came back and was ejected on the next play for getting flagged for his second instance of taunting. Justin Houston, Eric Murray, and Armani Watts all came out with varying injuries.

In the end, however, Andy Reid earned win number 199, and the Chiefs improved to 5-0 with this win, and 2-0 on the year at Arrowhead. They will go back on the road to take on New England next Sunday night.
