The Kansas City Chiefs released the final injury report for the Week 3 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Friday.

Among the Kansas City Chiefs listed on the latest injury report for Week 3, star safety Eric Berry and undrafted rookie linebacker Ben Niemann have been officially listed as doubtful ahead of the matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Berry hasn’t practiced since August 11th, and until recently, many fans were worried he may be out for a while. In Week 2 of the regular season, the team said that they are hopeful Berry would be back on the field within 2 weeks. Going by that statement, Berry should be back in Week 4, barring anything unforeseen.

Niemann injured his hamstring in the Week 2 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, late in the 4th quarter on a special teams play. After not practicing all week, his status for the game was labeled as doubtful. Doubtful means that while he isn’t officially ruled out, he’s unlikely to play. Although he has yet to make much of an impact on defense, Niemann has made a nice contribution on special teams.

In addition to the two doubtfuls, one player was also listed as questionable: running back Spencer Ware was a full participant every day aside from Friday when he was able to rest his knee. Questionable means it’s uncertain if the player will play or not.

Aside from Ware, six Chiefs were listed on the injury report, however all of them are active and will play against the 49ers, including defensive end Chris Jones.

The 49ers had several injured players on the injury report, however they were fortunate to have only two players with an official status report. Offensive guard Joshua Garnett was listed as out after not practicing at all this week. Safety Jaquiski Tartt and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin are both listed as questionable for their matchup against the Chiefs.

Five other 49ers players, including cornerback Richard Sherman, are all listed as active and will play on Sunday.
