Kareem Hunt, RB

A 22-year-old just won the NFL’s rushing title in his very first season and he’s left off of the list? We don’t even know what to say except that ESPN apparently wanted to include other teams on this offense more than they wanted to get it right. (The Mahomes rule should apply here since Saquon Barkley defeated Hunt.)

Hunt came into the league and set the whole thing ablaze, playing with a chip on his shoulder after being bypassed until the third round when the Chiefs traded up to take him. His opening salvo against the New England Patriots set a record for a rookie for yards from scrimmage with 246 and he kept up the pace well enough to claim the league’s rushing title despite only a single carry in his last game with a total of 1,327 rushing yards.

He’s upped his game this offseason as a pass catcher (even though he was already noted for such skills) and the more well-rounded he becomes, the more dangerous the Chiefs offense will be. Count on him being named to this team next year.
