Titans vs. Chiefs: Albert Wilson, Rakeem Nunez-Roches misses practice
By Matt Conner
The Kansas City Chiefs are missing a few players from practice as they prepare to host the visiting Tennessee Titans at Arrowhead to open the postseason.
At this point on the NFL calendar, most NFL teams are hurting in significant ways. The rigors of a regular season have taken their toll and, at the end of the final week, players are ready for a few months of rest and rehab, relaxation and recreation. Yet for teams in the postseason, it’s a challenge to soldier up and on with a hurting roster.
Four new members of the Kansas City Chiefs landed on the team’s injured list on Tuesday as the team returned to practice to prepare for Saturday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans to open the postseason. The Chiefs earned the No. 4 seed in the AFC after a 10-6 season and now have the chance to host the No. 5 seed Titans, who claimed the spot after the Baltimore Ravens lost a heartbreaker to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Albert Wilson is out of today’s practice with a hamstring injury that goes back to the team’s win over the Denver Broncos in Week 17, when Wilson had a career game of 10 catches and 147 receiving yards.
Also missing practice on Tuesday is defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches, who is dealing with an ankle injury. RNR has 24 tackles on the year along with a single sack. Fellow defensive lineman Jarvis Jenkins has a swollen knee, according to Andy Reid, while Phillip Gaines suffered an elbow injury against Denver.
The Chiefs are lucky to have the particular injuries that they do since most of these players are role players, but they still hurt all the same. In particular it will be interesting to see how the Chiefs to multiple injuries along the defensive front.
