The Kansas City Chiefs had a few players limited in practice on Monday, including tight end Travis Kelce and safety Ron Parker.

Things are coming down to the wire for the Kansas City Chiefs, as they prepare to take on the New England Patriots on Thursday night. Both teams are talented and deep, and health is going to be a very important facet of the game for either team to come out on top. Already both teams have sustained serious losses in the preseason due to injury, and now the Chiefs hope that players limited in practice on Monday will be just fine on Thursday.

All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, starting safety Ron Parker, starting left guard Parker Ehinger and new linebacker Reggie Ragland were all limited participants in practice on Monday as they prepared to face the Patriots. Ragland is expected to take some time to return to form after coming over from the Buffalo Bills. He’s still working his way back from a torn ACL and might need several weeks to heal.

The same can be said for Ehinger, the starting guard from last year on the left side. Ehinger lost his starting spot to Bryan Witzmann this preseason, at least as long as he’s still recovering from a torn ACL as well. Ehinger was recently taken off of the PUP list in the preseason and is still working his way back into game form.

Kelce injured his calf in the preseason, per Rotoworld, and the Chiefs tight end also dealt with a knee injury earlier this preseason that kept him out of practice. Hopefully these issues are settled or aren’t long-lasting given Kelce’s importance to the team. Parker is dealing with an apparent ankle injury. Given that every player was able to participate at least in part, neither Kelce’s or Parker’s injuries should be seen as severe.
