NFL experts at ESPN predicted every single game for the entire 2017 season and it turns out that every AFC West team will win 10 games.
Fans of the Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders need to gear up for this year. If ESPN’s NFL experts are right, it’s going to be an historic season. That’s because as each expert made their predictions for how the NFL season would turn out, every team in the entire AFC West is predicted to go at least 10-6 on the year.
Can you even imagine such a scenario? Are there enough wins to even go around? Fortunately for the Chiefs, they’re predicted to best them all by going 11-5 to claim their second division title in a row. In this scenario, the Chargers, Broncos and Raiders are the only other teams capable of making the playoffs, which means one AFC West team could win 10 games and still be left out in the cold.

Not only does ESPN think the Chiefs will finish atop the AFC West in the final standings, but they will do so because of their dominance over their most familiar opponents. If not for a short week before playing the Oakland Raiders early in the season, the Chiefs might have even been predicted to go 6-0 against the AFC West. Instead, ESPN believes the Chiefs will sweep the Chargers and Broncos while splitting the season series with Oakland. Imagine going 11-1 over the course of two seasons against the West—especially if the teams were that successful overall to win 10 games each.
The New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers are predicted to win the other divisions along with the Chiefs.
It’s going to be an exciting season for sure as the Chiefs look loaded for another playoff run. Whether it will be that crazy in the AFC West is another matter entirely.
