Eric Berry, Chris Jones, Parker Ehinger and Cairo Santos are just some of the Kansas City Chiefs inactives vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be missing two of their defensive anchors when they take the field on Saturday night to play against the Cincinnati Bengals. Not only will they be without All-Pro safety Eric Berry but they will also face Andy Dalton and the rest of the offense without their best offensive lineman in Chris Jones.

Berry sitting out should come as no surprise as the team largely needs him to only focus on being healthy for Week 1 against the New England Patriots. Since dealing with a sore heel, Berry has been sitting out Chiefs practice throughout much of training camp. The same can be said for Jones who recently came off of the Physically Unable to Perform list after having knee surgery earlier this summer.

Other players declared inactive for the second preseason game include rookie free agent cornerback J.R. Nelson, recently signed veteran defensive lineman Roy Miller, veteran cornerbacks Terrance Mitchell and Jacoby Glenn and offensive lineman Parker Ehinger. The latter was the team’s starting left guard last year but he’s been replaced by Bryan Witzmann earlier in training camp and might have to battle for his starting role once again until he’s proven he’s fully healthy once again.

The Chiefs will also feature kicker Sam Ficken once again for the second preseason game after Cairo Santos came down with a groin injury.

The Chiefs and Bengals kick off at 7:00 p.m. E.T. at Paul Brown Stadium. Click here for complete information on watching the game.
