Dorial Green-Beckham is now free to sign with any team
By Matt Conner
Former Eagles wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is now a free agent, meaning he’s able to sign with anyone after passing through waivers.
Is Dorial Green-Beckham coming home? It’s now possible for the former Missouri wide receiver to sign with any team now that he’s officially passed unclaimed through waivers. That’s good news if a team is interesting in bringing in the former second round pick on the cheap. Then again, DGB was already on the cheap and available to anyone after he was released by the Eagles.

Green-Beckham will certainly earn a flier from someone heading into training camp since he’s only two years removed from being in a second round pick. Look at the way that the Cleveland Browns still hang on to the possibility of Josh Gordon as a measure of how far a team will be willing to give a guy a chance, especially a potentially game-changing wideout. That’s exactly what teams were hoping DGB would be when he entered the NFL.
The Tennessee Titans selected Green-Beckham with the 40th overall selection two years ago but he only lasted a single season. The Philadelphia Eagles then traded for him hoping for the ol’ change-of-scenery swap, but clearly that worked as well as Tennessee. With his third team in three years, it could be that DGB, who has a 68 catches for 942 yards and 6 touchdowns over 2 seasons, is on his last leg.
We asked Chiefs fans earlier this offseason what they thought of bringing in Green-Beckham and the results were definitely mixed with polarized extremes, although there were more fans interested than not.
Given the recent release of Jeremy Maclin and the relative inexperience and youth among the current wide receiving corps, it could be the right time to bring in DGB to see if coming home is the move he needed most.
