5. Travis Benjamin

Benjamin is the first of three receivers listed on the list. While we are going a bit heavy on that position, it seems like the most logical position for Dorsey to attack. The Chiefs probably are not going to take a receiver in the first-round, despite there being some pretty enticing candidates. With that in mind, think about Benjamin as a legitimate target.

Benjamin, 26, has been with the Cleveland Browns since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami (FL). Benjamin was never much of a player his first three seasons, racking up 717 receiving yards in that time. However, he is one of the fastest players in the National Football League and provides whoever signs him with instant credibility in the return game.

Considering the Chiefs have some uncertainty with De’Anthony Thomas and could be cutting Knile Davis, Benjamin fills that need. Additionally, he came on as a receiver in 2015, catching 68 passes for 966 yards and five touchdowns despite his quarterbacks being Johnny Manziel, Josh McCown and Austin Davis.

Benjamin is not a top receiver on a decent team, but he’s a nice No. 2 who adds to a speedy core on the outside for Kansas City.
